Congratulations are in order for New Jersey soccer teams that won the NPL Finals Monday in Aurora, Colorado. The events took place over a 5 day period July 14th-18th and concluded in a day full of championship games today. New Jersey is proud to have 2 National Champions in the NJ Rush 02 and Princeton SA IGFA 00/01 girls. Here is a note written to me by Rush player Brianna Wons
“Rush 02 blue had a terrific NPL tournament in Colorado with good offense and a very good defense. As I always say”offense wins games and defense wins championships”. This was shown especially in our semi final game holding off GPS of NY with a 1-0 win. Strong center defense was locked down by Brianna Wons and Adriana Pepe for Rush. This picture is with coaches Bill, Cindi, Chris and myself Brianna Wons. Thank you so much Brianna Wons.”
