The CJ Invitational (Boys Edition) kicked off last weekend, July 16th and 17th, in the heat in Pittsgrove/Cohansey, NJ. There were a lot of great NJ teams competing and what was clear in the results is that NY Red Bulls RDS has an awesome crop of young talent from U9-U11. All 3 teams were Finalists, and won 11 out of 12 games to combined for 3 sets of medals and 2 Championships.
The U9 RDS group won 3 straight games just to get edged 1-2 in the Final vs. TSF.
The U10 RDS team won their 4 games scoring a total of 47 goals! Yes, that is nearly a 12 goal game average. That is just incredible.
The RDS U11’s won their power bracket without conceding a goal and a clean sweep of all 4 games.
Featured Bracket – CJI U13 Bobby Wood
STA Morris United 02 Survived the toughest bracket in the tournament overcoming a Saturday afternoon loss to Mercer FC Celtic 0-2, and getting them back in the Final with a 1-0 Win to take home the Championship medals.

Quick Notes:
- The Swedes from Saltsjobadens, which is a small town just East of Stockholm, competed well in the heat going 2-1-1, but U15 Greater Flemington took their group.
- The East Windsor PAL Rockets took the top U12 group honors over big boy clubs like FC Copa, MatchFit, and hometown Cohansey SC.
- Monroe Township (South Jersey) took the U13 2nd division title in what cannot be overlooked as it was played with very competitive teams.
- The Michael Bradley U14 group proved to be ulta competitive and some of tightest played games all weekend. Strikers FC has been a powerhouse this summer with a win at Lehigh and a 2nd at Pocono, and then winning the CJI final with a 1-0 win over TSF.
